Imagine Premium
Effective September 2019, Microsoft Imagine has been renamed to Microsoft Azure for Students Starter. This is available to all UMBC students regardless of major. Create an account by going to link below.
Students can still get an On the Hub by Kivuto account for non-Microsoft products
To get access to On the Hub, please open a new ticket using the Web interface at http://my.cs.umbc.edu/ .
Class requirement
The On the Hub service is available to CSEE faculty and students who are a Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Electrical Engineering major or to any student taking a CMPE, CMSC, CYBR, or ENEE class. Software is to be used as a requirement for the class, such as projects or some type of assignment.
Students who are not a major in any CSEE program will be required to show proof that they are actively enrolled in a CMPE, CMSC, CYBR, or ENEE class.
Lab requirement
Students and faculty in CSEE Research Labs can have access to On the Hub to acquire and use software as part of a research project.
UMBC club requirement
Only students who are a Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Electrical Engineering major may get access to On the Hub to acquire software for a use within a UMBC club.
Imagine
Microsoft allows any registered UMBC student to get access to the basic Imagine service. This is not supported by CSEE since authentication verification is maintained by UMBC's main IT group. If there are any problems, please open an Information Technology ticket with the Technology Support Center
